Privacy policy

ChiYoga respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• If you use the contact form: your name, email address and message.

• If you join the newsletter: your email address.

• If you contact us by email or WhatsApp: the details you choose to share.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions and arrange classes, private sessions or collaborations.

• To send occasional wellness notes and studio updates, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We rely on your consent and, when you ask to book a class, on the steps needed to arrange it.

How long we keep it

Messages and contact details are kept for up to 3 years after our last contact. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who can see it

Your data is never sold or rented. It is only handled by the services needed to run this website and reply to you, such as Framer (website hosting and forms) and our email provider.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Framer’s built-in analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you. Studio locations are plain links to Google Maps; Google’s own privacy policy applies once you open them.

Classes, bookings and the new-student form

When you book a class or buy a pass on the booking page, I collect your name, email, phone (optional), your bookings, attendance, passes and payments, to manage your classes and send confirmations, reminders and receipts. Legal basis: contract, and French accounting obligations.

New-student form: your experience, any injuries or health conditions, pregnancy, emergency contact and photo preference, so I can keep your practice safe. Health details are optional and used only with your explicit consent, given in the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

News and offers: occasional emails about classes, workshops and offers, with your consent. Existing students may receive them as clients of similar services. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Waiting list and Bring a friend: used to tell you when a spot opens, and to give a free class to the student who invited a friend.

Where it is stored: Google services (Sheets, Gmail, Forms, Calendar and Drive backups) on my behalf. Google may process data outside the EU under approved safeguards. Your QR code image is created by quickchart.io from your 4-digit check-in code only, never your name or email.

How long: health answers are erased after 1 year without a class. Your student record is made anonymous after 3 years without a class. Payment amounts are kept as required by French accounting law (up to 10 years), without your name. Weekly backups are kept for 8 weeks.

The booking page remembers your name and email in your own browser so you do not have to type them again. Students under 18 need the agreement of a parent or guardian.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to madhu@chiyoga.life. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
